You don't have to go to the post office to mail boxes or buy stamps

For students looking to ship packages, the mailroom and copy center located in the basement of Moss Hall can be preferable to waiting in line at the post office.
It's also a lot closer to campus.
"We can do anything the post office can do, except for money orders. First class, certified, overnight, media mail, priority, any of the specific mailings you would like," Laura Toner, aide for the postal center, said. "We get a discount for priority mail-we can send it cheaper than the post office can. It doesn't save a lot-maybe 25 cents, but after a while, it adds up."
Toner said she sees plenty of student traffic to the mailroom, but added that students "seem to either know about it or they don't."
Students can also buy stamps from the postal center, which is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
If students wish to use a different shipping service, they can mail items via UPS by going to the mailroom-UPS office, which is located in the lower level of the Fowler Maintenance building.
