As much as she loves Beanie, Martin might love shoes even more.
On a recent trip to Las Vegas, Martin bought some sleek black Jimmy Choo high heels.
"It was either that or the diamond store next door," she said.
Her friends find her love of shoes funny, too.
"I was harassing her [for the Jimmy Choo purchases] - there's hardly any shoe there!" Watkins said, laughing.
Martin also sews. In fact, Martin says in another life she would have been a designer and seamstress of wedding dresses. She started sewing when she was 8 years old and was sewing suits at age 14. She even studied tailoring and design at the Center for Creative Studies.
"That's why I buy expensive shoes," Martin said with a knowing nod.
Intimidation aside, Martin always wants to help girls in McIntyre, Felder said.
"Talk to her," Felder said. "If she needs to be [intimidating], she is. If you don't talk to her you'll miss out."
Sophomore Erin Alderson agrees.
"A lot of the freshman don't realize you can approach her," Alderson said. "Her door's always open."

Teris Martin is my younger sister and I agree with anyone that says she can be intimidating. On a recent trip out west last year with her and Ethan her grandson, she was very intimidating. (Continued…)
