The Chargers play non-conference teams Albion College today and Lake Erie College at home Saturday. They then play their final conference game of the season against University of Findlay Sunday.
"We're in the position where we have to sweep Findlay in order to make it to conference champs," Meyers said.
Findlay is currently ranked ninth in the GLIAC with a record of 5-15. The Chargers currently come in at eighth with a season record of 7-17 in the GLIAC and 13-25 overall.
"If we play our own game, we'll win," Meyers said.
The Chargers knocked out Lake Superior 8-3 and 8-5.
Freshman Jessica Guertin hit two home runs in the first game against Lake Superior.
Guertin said the team played strong games Saturday, improving on their weak spots of hitting and defense.
"Our hitting was phenomenal this weekend, so hopefully that'll carry over to Findlay," Guertin said. "We also got a lot better with communication, which in my opinion was our biggest struggle. Our team has gotten very good at picking each other up."
While the Chargers picked up their hitting Saturday, scoring runs throughout both games, Sunday took a turn for the worse with two losses to Northwood, 8-5 and 7-5.
"We're playing better overall," Meyers said. "We just didn't bring our game to the field on Sunday."
Freshman Gabrielle Chartier tallied a grand slam against Northwood, but Meyers said an overall lack of focus contributed to the losses.
The team heads into the final week of the season and attempts to make it to the GLIAC championship beginning May 1.
"If you ask any of the seniors, they wanna win more than anything," Guertin said. "Our motto as a team is 'no regrets,' and we really do have nothing to lose."
