Basketball: GLIAC Players of the Week

The Chargers swept the GLIAC Player of the Week title in two areas after the weekend's play.
Senior Katie Cezat was honored for the eighth?time as Player of the Week this season; there are only 10 oppportunities to be named. Against Ferris State University last week, Cezat had 37 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. Against GVSU, she held 38 points, 23 rebounds, four assists and four blocks. She currently leads Division II in rebounds and blocked shots. In the GLIAC Cezat holds single season records for points, rebounds, free throws made and free throws attempted.
Senior Tony Gugino garnered the award after he helped the Chargers in their battle against GVSU?Saturday scoring 29 points and garnering 10 rebounds which lead to a 86-83 Charger win during overtime. Gugino recently broke Hillsdale's record for career blocked shots, and he ranks in the GLIAC's Top 10 in scoring, rebounds and blocked shots.
