Astronomy club's space snippet
The thin crescent moon passes north of Venus at 6:12 a.m. Friday, but cannot then be seen by North American viewers. For a preview, scan the western heavens just as they grow dark on Thursday or Friday evenings. Venus, also known as the "Morning Star" or "Evening Star," is the second-brightest object in the night sky next to the moon.

Corrections:?
In the Jan. 22 article entitled "New Beginnings," sophomore Alexi Treu is incorrectly described as having regularly drunk enough alcohol to pass out at 6 p.m. Treu also does not plan to forego drinking this semester, as the article reported, but to moderate his alcohol intake. The Collegian regrets this error, and has removed the article from its Web site.
On the Jan. 22 Arts page, the photo caption relating to the story "Hillsdale thespians finish strong at ACTF" is incorrect. The picture was not taken at the American College Theater Festival, but in Hillsdale's own Markel Auditorium.
The Collegian corrects inaccurate or misleading information. Please contact us at collegian@hillsdale.edu if you think we have published such information.
