Senior class considers gift

The senior class narrowed its class gift to three main suggestions: a language laboratory, an ice skating rink or a portable stereo system for student events, senior class treasurer Mary Beth Maxfield told seniors at a class meeting Wednesday evening. Vice President of Administration Rich Péwé and Chief Administrative Officer Kenneth Cole will review the ideas with Maxfield before the projects go to a final vote and fundraising.

Astronomy Club's sky event of the week

On Saturday at 12:44 a.m., Jupiter will invisibly move from the evening side of the sun to the morning. Mercury made the same movement on this Tuesday. Jupiter, on its new location, will become visible around mid-February.

SAB sponsors free bowling nights

Students quick enough to sign up in groups of five can bowl at the Student Activity Board's expense several times this semester. The first bowl night was Wednesday at Hillside Lanes from 9 p.m. to midnight, but further free bowling nights are Feb. 11, March 4 and April 15. To register, students should email Winnie Gardiner at wgardiner@hillsdale.edu during the week of the bowl night with their team of five.
