Although washing up with soap and warm water is still your best bet, alcohol-based hand-sanitizers are a quick and convenient way to clean hands and prevent the spread of germs, especially during the winter flu season.
"A couple dozen" hand-sanitizer dispensers are located throughout various Hillsdale College campus buildings: most notably on the first and second floors of Mossey Library and in the Wiegand Computer Lab in the Knorr Student Center, said Vicky Phetteplace, superintendent of custodial services.
The custodial staff fills dispensers when they notice empty ones, but if a student finds an empty dispenser, he can contact the physical plant secretary at the Tony Fowler Maintenance Building, Phetteplace said.
"She'll let the appropriate people know," she said.
To contact the Fowler building, call the college switchboard at 517-437-7341.
