The team beat Oakland City University Saturday night, 104-62, and Missouri University of Science and Technology Sunday, 82-63.
Head coach Claudette Charney said the two non-conference games helped the team work towards sorting out team roles.
"The whole team has stood out," Charney said. "It's hard to accept roles but the whole team has done a great job."
In Saturday's game, freshman Chelsea Harrison scored 20 points in 23 minutes, including six three-pointers.
Defeating Oakland City was not very hard, Charney and players said.
"That was a very, very good game for us," Charney said.
Missouri S&T presented more of a challenge, as they returned many of their top players and always prove to be fierce competition.
"It was a challenge," senior Katie Cezat said. "We had to really go out and attack. No one attacked us like they did."
Cezat had 32 points and 13 rebounds against Missouri S&T and 22 points and 14 rebounds against Oakland City.
Cezat said the team focused on making sure freshmen players recognized how their own accomplishments helped the team succeed, she said.
"I think it's important for everyone to know how they can specially contribute to the team," she said. It's important for upperclassmen to encourage freshmen. They need to know that what they're doing is helping the team overall."
Cezat said she wished she had received more encouragement during her early seasons of play.
The team will take on the Universities of Indianapolis and Southern Indiana at a tournament over Thanksgiving Break.
Charney said both these teams will challenge the Chargers.
"They're both very good," she said. "It's going to be two tough games."
