The 158th annual Hillsdale County Fair opens its doors to the community next week, Sept. 21-27. This year's theme is "We've Got A Good Thing Growin'."
Grandstand attractions include tractor pulls, a "Super Kicker Bullmania Rodeo," harness racing, guest artists Tracy Lawrence and Bucky Covington, and in keeping with the fair's agricultural roots, a combine harvester demolition derby.
For spectators seeking quieter fun, the fair still offers favorites like horseshoe pitching, farm animals and carnival rides, not to mention the traditional fair fare: popcorn, caramel apples, cider and elephant ears.
Ticket sales support the non-profit Hillsdale County Agricultural Society's mission to "promote youth, education, agriculture and commerce." For fair schedules, directions, or ticket information, visit www.hillsdalecountyfair.org and click on "General Info."
