Hillsdale College hired nine new professors this year: Allan Carlson, professor of political science and history; Mathew Fuerst, visiting assistant professor of music; Ryan Hutchinson, assistant professor of mathematics; Helen Lasseter, visiting assistant professor of English; Terrence Moore, assistant professor of history; Kevin Portteus, assistant professor of Political Science; Bryan Springer; instructor in art; Jeffery VanZant, assistant professor of biology; and Matthew Warner, assistant director of forensics. Former faculty member David Basterfield will return as an associate professor of finance.
