The Hillsdale City Council voted 9-0 in favor of allowing North Manning Street to become a two-way street Monday night. The three blocks between Bacon Street and Michigan-99 have been the major point of contention between local businesses and the city council.
Businesses claimed they saw an increase in customers when North Manning was temporarily turned into a two-way street during the M-99 construction. However, concerns were raised about emergency response crews using the street.
The council rounded out the night by discussing the dangers of feeding deer and feral cats within city limits.
