Fire alarms trip

Three fire-alarms sounded last week at Central Hall, Sage Center for the Arts and Mauck Hall. Mike Wertz, director of security, said two alarms were accidental and one was a planned upgrade.

Wertz said that upgrades to the security systems causes the alarms to trip. Central Hall was one of these planned upgrades.

A curious child, however, pulled the fire-alarm at Sage, and a bag of popcorn set off an alarm at Mauck.
