There's something about Juny

The student-acclaimed campus band Juny will continue to make music for the rest of the all-junior band members' college career, lead singer and guitarist Dan Miloch said.
"Juny will be playing a lot more this semester," Miloch said.
Miloch said the band members have been busy individually, which has not allowed them to practice as much as they would like.
This does not mean Juny's creative juices have stopped flowing.
"I've been writing a lot more recently than I have been in a long time," Miloch said.
The band will have one more year together, as they are all juniors. After graduation, Miloch said plans for the band are indefinite but they will probably cease to make music together.
"It's sort of a strange place at the moment," drummer Rob Ogden said. "I'd like to see a CD come out of it before the end, before we hit our MTV debut. I'd be down with it to be sure. It's really mostly up to Dan."
Miloch said he would like to record a CD sometime this semester or next year.
"I think we've waited way too long," he said.
Miloch has recorded some songs on his own - even in the community bathrooms in Galloway Residence.
"As a group we haven't done anything - a big chunk of songs," Miloch said. "I'll try to write a song and get an idea and try to record it for the rest of the guys in the band to listen to."
Ogden said Miloch writes all the band's songs.
"It should be known that Dan is the mind behind it all," Ogden said. "Although everyone knows that already."
The band got its start during Miloch's freshman year. He signed up for Battle of the Bands and ended up forming Juny with Ogden, Nick Tabor and Drew Gonshorowski.
Miloch said he came up with the band's name. "Juny" was a nickname his grandfather went by - a shortened form of "junior." Miloch liked the name, chose it, and none of the band members dissented.
"That's the first time I've heard that story," Ogden said laughing.
