Author gives students graduate school application tips
Donald Asher, author of "Graduate Admissions Essays," said that while calendar management is important in getting accepted to graduate school, grades and especially faculty assistance are the most crucial factors in an application.
In a talk given to about 35 students on campus in the Knorr Room Tuesday evening, Asher offered numerous tips to help students get into the graduate school of their choice.
Tips included utilizing faculty at both a student's undergraduate school and desired graduate school as well as attending each and every "meet-and-greet" possible.
Asher said grades are important as well but that students can get clever in suggesting how they should be viewed.
