Seraphim
Genre: Rock
Song type: originals and covers

"I would describe us as a rock band but I don't want to pigeon hole Seraphim; we play what feels right," lead guitarist Noah Kerr, a senior, said. "We participate in Battle of the Bands not really for competitive reasons. It's to have fun and show the audience a good time."

The Narrows
Genre: Psychedelic and Indie Rock
Song type: originals

"Our music kind of goes between distorted guitar stuff, and some organ and piano music," senior Evan Moran said. "It sort of has an echoey feel. We have one recorded song on our MySpace and are in the process of recording a few more."

Gaea Tellus
Genre: Alternative Rock
Song type: originals and covers

"We will be playing one original that is alternative with an acoustic feel, and two covers." singer and acoustic guitarist Britton Deuel, a sophomore, said. "This will be our first performance together."

Juny
Genre: Indie Rock
Song type: originals

"We like to use more unusual instruments: keyboard, bells," junior Dan Miloch said. "People should expect us doing original [songs] at the Battle of the Bands."

Solipsis
Genre: Rock
Song type: originals and covers

"Solipsis seemed a perfect fit for the type of music we played," guitarist Greg Stokes, a senior, said. "We thought of music as a type of catharsis, and solipsis means empty circle. We are not overly serious; music is supposed to be fun."

Stereo Graffiti
Genre: Rock
Song type: originals and covers

"Steve Hann came up with our name. It means 'fully expressed music,'" senior Jeremiah Regan said. "One thing I like about us is we have five guys, all seniors, who all like rock and hard rock and then we have Meg who sings and brings in some acoustic."

The Hotness
Genre: Acoustic Rock
Song type: originals

"There are rumors [that] our name is about the quality of men in the band; I will neither support nor deny this," lead guitarist Jordan Holsinger, a junior, said. "We'll be playing three originals. We have a lot of influence from OAR, blues and punk."
