Contrasts abound between world's religious traditions

East and West employ different forms of worship

The world is separated into two parts - the East and the West. A major difference between the two regions is religion. The faiths of the East are wildly different from Western religions, Professor of Philosophy Jim Stephens said. "If by religion we mean worship of a single omnipotent, omniscient, beneficent being from whom we are estranged and need to be reconciled with, there are only three religions in the world," he said. Sophomore Erin Hotchkiss isn't quite your typical Seventh Day Adventist - she attends Hillsdale College, for one thing. Most children who grow up in Adventist schools enroll in Adventist colleges, but she sought a different atmosphere. "I'm not like the typical, 'Look at me and this is Adventism,'" she said.
