The tradition of hillsdale hockey

With hockey season in full swing everywhere else, a simple question arises: Where is Hillsdale's hockey team? Perhaps more appropriate , though: Where did Hillsdale's hockey team go? Twice before Hillsdale College had a hockey team, but both times the endeavor failed due to a lack of student interest. (0) comments

As a carload of college students journey to the end of Hideaway Lane, glimmers of light reflect against a yellow fluorescent street sign reading, "The Rink," on the Connor's family farm. The vehicle sidles to a halt before a shed, gently illuminated by the natural ambiance of a southern Michigan countryside. (2) comments

Hockey heads discuss pros and cons of their favorite game

Despite lacking an official team, many Hillsdale students lace up their skates for local hockey games. Most of these players grew up with the sport, and now must generate local pick-up games to maintain their escapades on the ice rink. Sophomore Chris Stephens said he took up hockey at age 3 by learning to skate with his family in Grosse Pointe, Mich. (1) comment
