I'd give you a birthday present, but I couldn't buy you one. I like you, but you have to leave my house. And so do all of your friends. These things may sound mean, but they are all things many Hillsdale College Greek women have to tell potential new members because of recruitment rules. (1) comment

I love getting paid. There is nothing better than logging onto my bank account Web site and seeing a big, fat deposit care of "Hillsdale College payroll" waiting for me. Most recently, I enjoyed this feeling while in Georgia for fall break. There was, however, something keeping my joy from reaching full-on glee. (1) comment

We shouldn't have to go to the deans to realize there's no privacy online. In order to enjoy the benefits of personalized music, news and social networking, one has to give up the ideal of privacy. The question is how much networking is too much? Should it stop at friends commenting on other statuses, or a list of statuses in a manila folder? What private information should we make public? It seems as social networking grows, privacy - but not the expectation of it - shrinks. (0) comments
