The end of smoking hours in the old snack bar last spring forced the departure of snack bar denizens. The philosophy and cigarette-loving crowd has relocated - to a basement. Seniors Damian Cleary and Tim Routzahn transformed the dirty, cobwebby basement of their West Street house - Seventh Circle - into a friendly hangout for students who want to talk, study and smoke inside. New vehicles on the block Hillsdale College has decided to lease small, fuel-efficient Japanese vehicles to fulfill its on-campus transportation needs. The vehicles only cost $4,000 to 5,000 each, but maintenance has not been able to get them licensed for road use. (0) comments
