Foreclosures in Hillsdale County followed the national downward trend in 2008, increasing 28 percent from the same period last year. In 2007, from Jan. 1 to Sept. 12, there were 179 foreclosures in Hillsdale County. During the same time period in 2008, there were 228, according to Hillsdale County Register of Deeds Bambi Somerlott. (0) comments

They look at your pictures, know your friends and cry when you put up an angry status about how your old significant other treated you poorly and just how badly you want to see them suffer for it. They're up to speed with your drama and your wall posts. They may even know more about you than you know about yourself. (0) comments

What's up with the economy?

Inflation, or the increase of the money supply, is the root cause of the current collapses of major creditors and banks, including Fannie Mae and Lehman Brothers. The Federal Reserve, which has the ability to print money and keep interest rates falsely low, is the root cause of inflation. (0) comments

The current financial crisis has hurled the U.S. economy into shambles and left the entire world and its workforce to deal with the ramifications. Part of that workforce is budding at Hillsdale College, where seniors prepare to launch their careers post-graduation, regardless of any bad economy. (0) comments
