The concrete and bronze sculpture has stood in the center of the Hillsdale County Courthouse lawn since 1981. It's been there so long people have forgotten what it means. Shaping a building into a wedge is the ultimate use of space, especially in crowded cities. Though Hillsdale is not a city pressed for space, the downtown is home to a space-utilizing building.
