A singular rhythm once flowed from The Beat. The former off-campus house on the corner of West and Fayette streets outlasted NHL forwards, Hillsdale professors and generations of students. Freshmen Lee Ann LaPlue and Liz Essley won the state debate tournament the Hillsdale College debate and forensics team hosted on campus last weekend. Hillsdale placed third overall in individual events and debate, the highest they have placed at the state level. (0) comments
Joe Petrides '06 joined the Hillsdale Elks Lodge #1575 two weeks ago. Coming to live and work in Hillsdale as an admissions counselor left him with few social outlets. He decided to join the Elks for their involvement in the community, socialization opportunities and "the best quesadillas you'll ever have. (1) comment
