The Charger football team's second loss of the season came down to the last moments again. With only 13 seconds left in the game University of Indianapolis snuck a touchdown by the Charger defense pulling a win over Hillsdale and a final score of 30-34. Hillsdale's first loss came at Ferris State University in September when Ferris kicked a field goal in the final three seconds. (0) comments

War exposes human nature; Marine learns lessons of life, humanity

A shooting war is one of the most educational places on earth. It offers a terrible insight into the nature of man for those willing to dig beneath the obvious lessons of tactical movement and fire superiority. Its intensity condenses the whole spectrum of emotion and behavior, simultaneously forcing all of it to surface. (1) comment

I love roller coasters. The ups, the downs, the adrenaline rushes are all exhilarating. So to be a Colorado Rockies fan has always been right up my alley: the ups, the downs, the adrenaline rushes, especially this season. The 2007 season began as it usually does each year, with my brother and I joking about how this is finally Colorado's year and that the road to the World Series goes through Coors Field. Men and women's teams improve times after last weekend's meet

Men and women's cross country teams found redemption last weekend at the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships. After a disappointing finish previously at the Notre Dame Invitational, the Hillsdale men and women's team finished second and third respectively in a race featuring some of Michigan's finest cross country runners. Hostage negotiators could take lessons from Kurt Kirner, Hillsdale College's new swim coach. Kirner is friendly, soft-spoken and apparently persuasive. "The student athletes at Lawrence [University] loved him," said head basketball coach John Tharp, who coached alongside Kirner at Lawrence until last year. (0) comments
