The Hillsdale College athletic department announced this week that Athletic Director Michael Kovalchik resigned from his position as head softball coach Monday after assuming the spot in June. The athletic department confirmed Wednesday that Kurt Kirner, the head swim coach at Lawrence University for 17 years, will take over as head coach for the Hillsdale College swim team Sept. 24. After a three-year search for a developmental psychology professor, the Hillsdale College psychology department hired Assistant Professor of Psychology Desiree Tobin.
